Nick Vandal 2016 PCA Champion winners speech

"I entered the PCA British finals with the aim of winning class 4. Occasionally during my diet I would dream about what it would be like to win my class and then go on to win the overall PCA British title, but I never truly believed that this was a realistic goal so quickly tried to get those thoughts out of my head and concentrate on my preparations.

On Sunday though I did just that, I won my class and then the overall, in probably the strongest line up of any bodybuilding contest in the uk this year. To win and be able to say that I am now the overall PCA British champion is the most amazing feeling and means so much to me. It makes all of the hard months of dieting, cardio and training worth it. It still hasn't fully sunk in yet what has happened.

Winning the show was obviously an amazing feeling but the entire day was a great experience from start to finish. The venue and facilities provided backstage were unbelievable and the way that each and every competitor was taken care of by the PCA was phenomenal and made the day very special. I would like to thank the PCA for this and also for putting on a great show and creating a federation that genuinely cares about the athlete and makes the experience of competing a great one, regardless of result."
